Bingo, Trivia & “Show Me The Money”

These fun games are fundraisers for 2 not-for-profit organizations in Manito (The Forman Jr. Women’s & The Popcorn Festival). The small fee collected goes to the organization. Ask for more details!

Comedy Night

Join us for a night of food, wine and laughter. After a 3 course dinner, sit back with a glass of your favorite Willett’s wine and enjoy the comedy of three different comedians. Tickets are $40 and are available by calling the winery.

Recipe Contest

Call to register, then prepare and bring your favorite recipe for sampling. No fee to register but must use one of Willett’s wines in the recipe. Prizes awarded!

Murder Mystery Theater

Our NEW comedy troupe, Without A Net, presents a very fast-paced, funny, half-scripted and half-improvised interactive show. As the mystery unfolds, a murder occurs and the audience must figure out "who-dunnit". The evening begins with a social hour at 6:00pm followed by the start of the 3 course dinner between 6:30-7:00pm. The show includes some adult humor and is presented between courses of the meal. Tickets are $40 per person.

Wine & Dine Experience

A 4-course gourmet meal will be prepared by Chef Kevin Roecker. Each course is expertly paired with wine from Willett's Winery & Cellar. During the evening, you'll hear about each course selection from Chef Kevin, and about each wine selection from winemaker, Dan Willett. Joe Metzka will provide jazz music throughout the evening. Tickets are $50 per person ($60 on Feb. 13) and include wine with each course.

Ethnic Nights

About once a quarter, we are going to feature an ethnic food night! The first one is going to be in celebration of Mardi Gras! These will all be buffet style meals. In the future, we are planning Italian, German, Chinese/Japanese and Mexican. Cost will vary on each one.

Hometown Sunday Nights

Another new event at the winery! We will be serving a family style meal from 5-7 PM. Salad, Main course, dessert and beverage for $7.95 for adults. We’ll be varying the menu each time to include favorites like meatloaf and pork chops. Call to reserve your table.

Any event that has a ** requires advance registration/reservations.

Remember, the Ironstone Restaurant is open on Friday nights until 8:30 PM.

Sign of Early Spring...or....

I looked out onto my backyard this afternoon (I know, WHY am I doing THAT when FOOTBALL is on?) and what did I see? Not one, but TWO ROBINS!! I know a rare few hang around during the winter, but I've never witnessed that phenomenon. So, I grabbed the camera and here is proof all the Sam Adams hasn't effected my vision:










Somebody better start knitting some sweaters in XXX small...

I'm thinking word on the bird street is there is open water in my backyard due to a heater in my pond which keeps the ice off allowing oxygen for the fish. Don't cry for the fish...they are used to it..in fact, they are swimming around; the water isn't that cold...the heater is far bigger than I need for the size pond I have. Birds of all sorts are around it all day.

So, hopefully, this is a good sign for an early spring. I'm also praying that damned groundhog won't see his shadow in about a month.
